St Patrick's Win Top Prize at Sports Awards

The boys' gaelic football team from St Patrick's PS attended a special prize giving event held in the Armagh City Hotel on Wednesday 30th Sept 2015.Following an incredible year of success winning an amazing nine trophies the team were nominated for Junior Team of the Year in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council Area. The team were sent news that they had been shortlisted from all the schools' entries from the district and that they were to attend the gala prize giving evening in the Armagh City Hotel.

Along with the St Patrick's PS Gaelic footballers in the category of Junior Team of the Year were Keady High School's Under 14 Hurling team, Edenderry PS Portadown's boys' Soccer Team, Dromore High School's Rugby team from Banbridge and Dromore High School's Under 16 Athletics Team.

In a very tight category  it was the St Patrick's boys from Armagh who won first prize on the night.The whole team cheered loudly as they all presented with a beautiful winners plaque and a precious glass trophy to bring back to the staff and pupils at school.

The school gaelic football coach Mr Marc Cullen also deserves great credit as he had been shortlisted for Junior School Coach of the Year on the night also. So there was double excitement during the awards evening.

Congratulations to Marc and all the boys on their big win. The perfect way to finish the gaelic football season ....Best Junior Team in the whole of Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Council Area.
