‘Elfy Kids Walk-a-thon.

1st Dec 2020

Every child from Primary one to Primary seven will take part in an ‘Elfy kids walk-a-thon in school on Friday 4th December 2020. Due to Covid restrictions this year we can’t hold our annual “Santa Sweats it out” Zumba dance day in the PE Hall so we’ve replaced it with our ‘Elfy kids walk-a-thon. As in years gone past we encourage the children to be creative and wear something Christmasy on their heads.......Santa hats, reindeer hats, light up antlers , sparkling hair bands and gogos, elf hats and wigs, pointy ears, flashing lights, snowflake necklaces and tinsel scarves. Anything goes. It’s NOT a non uniform day however.....we will have that the following week as part of our Christmas jumper Day. The children will all walk with other classes in their year group “bubble”. Some of the younger classes will walk the trail around the front and back yards , others will use Abbey Park and the eldest classes will walk around the grounds down at St Luke’s Hospital. It’s expected to be cold so please ensure children all have a coat with them too.

We are asking all children to bring in £1.50 on the day. All monies raised will be spent on our Healthy Kidz Sports coaching programme that has been delivered to all P4-7 classes over the last twelve weeks in school. So let’s get creative and think ‘Elfy this Friday.

As always, thank you for your support.
