The next generation of firefighters in training!!!
As part of their topic on'People Who Help Us' the P1 children visited Armagh Fire Station. They were shown around the station and got an insight into what the fire fighters do when they are on shift. They heard about the different appliances, the equipment and their uses, they used the hoses, saw the gym and heard about kitchen duties! The highlight of their visit was to see how quick the firefighters react when a call comes to the station. One minute we were hearing about the uniforms and the next, the alarm went off and the firemen rushed to the fire engine and away. Thankfully, it wasn't a real fire. A big THANKS to Blue Watch, who made the trip enjoyable as well as very educational.
