Thank You to Our Peer-Paired Reading Mentors

Well done to our Peer-Paired Reading Mentors from Primary 6 - Sophie, Patrick, Michael and Ruby - on all of their hard work this term with their Primary 3 partners.

These 4 pupils attended training in October on how they would be able to help pupils in P3 improve all aspects of their reading: word recognition, sounding out, fluency and comprehension.

They were chosen not only because they themselves are strong readers, but because their teachers knew that they were caring, compassionate children who would have patience and understanding when working with their P3 partners. They have done extremely well and have been a credit to themselves and their families, reading with their P3 partner every day this term. 📚 💫
