It was with great sadness today that pupils and staff said farewell to Mr Kevin Curran, a superb GAA KS1 Fundamentals Coach. Despite a long, hard battle undertaken by both Ulster GAA and the IFA, to save the Curriculum Sports Programme, the Permanent Secretary for the Department of Education NI, Derek Baker, has confirmed that no further funding is being released for the continuation of this invaluable project. The children presented Kevy with a card and a sports voucher. We wish him every success in the future. He will be greatly missed at Saint Patrick’s PS.
