Shared Education Celebratory Event
Our Primary Three classes in Saint Patrick’s have been working on a Shared Education Project along with the Primary Three pupils from Hardy Memorial Primary School in Richhill. Members of the Boards of Governors from both schools,Pupils, Parents,Principal Teachers, and P.3 Teachers went along to the Armagh City Hotel today to celebrate the success of this shared initiative. The children showcased their newly acquired skills in drumming by performing in front of their invited guests. Lead by both James and Nathan from ‘ Fun with Drums’, almost everyone in the audience,at one point became involved! The children had an opportunity to speak about their own personal favourite parts of the Shared Education Prjoject. Some children particularly enjoyed the bird show, when they had a chance to hold and feed some owls, amongst other birds. For other pupils the best part was taking part in a variety of STEM lessons where they had the opportunity to make and test hovercrafts, rocket balloons, cars, aeroplanes and motorbikes. The children enjoyed working, eating and playing together at both schools. They also greatly enjoyed the trip together to the Eikon Centre just before Easter. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned up to the same event that day! The children and guests were treated to some light refreshments today at the CIty Hotel before saying goodbye to their new friends and returning to school.
