Primary Three Road Safety

Our Primary Three pupils were offered the opportunity to take part in a practical Child Pedestrian Safety Training Scheme. The aim of the scheme was to develop children’s awareness and understanding of their road environment. The scheme is organised by the Department for Infrastructure (DFI) Road Safety along with the teachers in our school. The children had the opportunity to take part in a supervised pedestrian walk on a pre-planned route near to the school.They had opportunities to learn about observing dangers and crossing roads safely. Thank you to Mrs Margaret Aiken who facilitated the programme for us.
