P7 Victorian Visit to Armagh Museum

18th Oct 2024
Our Primary 7 pupils have been studying The Victorians for their World Around Us topic this term. One part of this has been looking at some of the most famous inventions from the Victorian Era, so this week, they took the opportunity to visit Armagh County Museum to get their hands on some examples and learn a lot more about them.

Sarah and her team at the museum put on an extremely fun, informative and interesting morning for our boys and girls, sharing lots of examples of Victorian inventions and facts about them. We learned all about their history and how many are still used in the modern day, just in a developed form. She gave our teachers a fright when she told us that a Motorolla flip phone is now considered a historical artefact worthy of display in the museum when discussing the history of the telephone!

Thank you to Sarah and all of her team at Armagh County Museum.

Have a look at some snaps from our fantastic visit!
