P7 Olympic Torch Design Winners
In preparation for this Summer’s Olympic Games held in Tokyo, the pupils in Mr O Hare’s, Mrs Perry’s and Mrs Bennett’s have been completing a special project outlining the complete history of the Olympics throughout the ages. One specific study was done on the significance of the Olympic torch and its importance and role played in every games since it first began. A challenge was put to the year group to try and design their own individual Olympic torch at home and then bring it to school for all to enjoy. With over 45 torches created, each teacher chose three which were worthy of special recognition and a prize.
Well done to every child who took part and to the prize winners pictured in the attached photo.
