P7 Coding Fun

The pupils of Mr O'Hare and Mrs Perry's class enjoyed a morning on their iPads investigating "Coding." The pupils used a range of Coding and Programming Apps including LEGO Fix the Factory,Scratch Jr ,Hopscotch and Tickle. Mr Michael O'Kane from iTeach demonstrated how these Apps could be used in the classroom in a whole range of ways. To finish off the morning Michael and the pupils programmed a racing car to create the shape of a pentagon on the floor calculating proper angular turns and distance to travel.The racer then spun around in celebration and hopped into mid air to the screams of everyone.Great fun indeed.
