P7s celebrate a “Victorian” World Book Day 1845.

To celebrate World Book Day 2020, many of the pupils in Mrs Perry’s, Mr O’Hare’s and Mrs Bennett’s P7 classes came to school dressed as characters from their class novel “Under the Hawthorn Tree”. Some dressed as starving children, some as worried parents of impoverished families , some came as tenant farmers , some arrived as adults ready to emigrate to America, whilst others dressed as wealthy ladies and gentlemen of the mid 1840s. Lots of other P7s also went to great efforts to dress up as their favourite characters from other books. Hope you enjoy our photos.
