P5 Literacy Programme

Well done to some of our P5 pupils who have successfully completed an after schools literacy programme based upon developing comprehension skills.

 The children studied the novel "Hansel and Gretel" written by three different authors.  They compared each author's style of writing and how they portrayed each of the main characters.  They carried out character studies through art work, held group prediction exercises and looked at the important use of adjectives when story writing.  The pupils also developed the skill of how to skim and scan a detailed passage for information.
