P4's use 'Scratch Jr'
Mrs Smith's P4's have been developing their knowledge of programming through the use of Scratch Jr on the ipads. The children were asked to design their own 'Cross the Road Safely' interactive game, in the process they were able to solve problems and express themselves creatively! They coded blocks of program to make characters move, jump and talk. They also modified their characters in the paint editor and added their own voice.
A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs Grainne Cullinane from the Amma Centre who taught us so much about coding! We will see her again soon when she will be introducing us to the world of animation!
