Our Girls’ Football Team Reach County Final

Our Girls' Football Team are County Finalists!

Congratulations to our Girls' Football Team who today won their County Semi-Final and now progress to Finals Day of the Malachy McGeeney Cup!

These girls put in an incredible performance to run out victorious in some of the worst conditions you could ever wish to play in. Wind, rain and even hailstones made it a tricky morning for football but the heart and desire shown by our girls was inspirational as they kept knocking the ball over the bar. Through chattering teeth and wringing clothes, they returned to school on a high as thoughts turn towards their county final appearance. The photos tell their own story! 

Thank you to St. John the Baptist PS Portadown for traveling to play, as well as bringing their boys' team to give our own boys a friendly game this morning played on our school field.

Thank you also to Armagh Harps for the continued use of their facilities - we are very fortunate to have such a surface so close to home to ensure the game was of a high standard.

We now look forward to Finals Day of the Malachy McGeeney Cup which will be held in the Athletic Grounds soon after Easter. Well done, girls!
