Mr Murphy's P5 "Story of St Patrick" Assembly

Mr Murphy's P5 class celebrated Green Day in school by entertaining the P1-P7 pupils at a special assembly entitled "The story of St Patrick." The children told the story of Patrick's capture as a boy,his work minding sheep in Ireland and his eventual escape home to his family. The entertainment continued with Patrick as bishop returning to Ireland and converting the Irish.A group of Irish dancers had the audience clapping and singing along to "St Patrick's Flame" as a young St Patrick explained the symbolism of the Shamrock. A Great mornings fun in preparation for St Patrick's Day in Armagh.
