Miss Savage's P3s Get Busy
20th Nov 2023
Miss Savage's Primary 3 class have been busy over the last few weeks, with two highly enjoyable lessons in particular grabbing the children's attention
Making Elf Homes:
Firstly, they enjoyed taking learning outside to the Forest Area in our school. Making greater use of our "Outdoor Learning" spaces is a target for our whole school, including our School Council and our Eco-Committee. In groups, the children designed and constructed a home fit for an elf using natural resources. There was plenty of fun and imagination as they discussed what an elf might need in their home, and what would keep them safe.
Writing Instructions and Making Jam Sandwiches:
Over their last unit of work in Literacy, the pupils studied how to write and follow instructions. First, they all had the chance to help Miss Savage make a jam sandwich. They were able to enjoy the tasty finished product as a late-morning snack! Then, they talked about what they needed and how they made it, before completing instructions in their Creative Writing books. Some excellent vocabulary was on show - well done to all in Miss Savage's class!
