Girls’ Gaelic Footballers Reach League Finals
Well done to our Girls’ Gaelic football team who this week competed in the Bronwyn Duffy League Finals. We all saw the fog on Tuesday - imagine trying to play football in it!
Our stars earned their place in these finals by topping a hotly-contested group stage phase in late October in Lurgan.
Having progressed this far, they made a storming start to the finals, winning 2 of their 3 games, putting them through to a semi-final. Unfortunately, luck was against them on that occasion as they fell to a narrow defeat.
Across the two days out in October and again this week, they played amazingly well. Fantastic job, girls. Hopefully there’ll be more to come from you later this year.
