Gaelic Football Season ends
St Patrick’s Gaelic footballers played their final few matches last week rounding off a year that saw a team of lads improve in every match. A total of 38 Primary Six and Seven boys represented the school this year playing teams from every corner of County Armagh as well and a team in Co Down. Two teams of lads travelled across the County playing in 9 and 11 a side games ,some of which were competitive whilst others adopted the Go Games ethos.
The last competition of the year was the Mid Ulster Mc Greevey Cup Competition which attracted eight large school from the North, Mid and South Armagh to take part in Pearse Og Park last week. The St Pat’s lads played excellently in their opening matches only to be beaten in the dying seconds of their semi final match against eventual shield winners St Francis PS Lurgan. A big thank you from Mr O’Hare to every boy who wore the black and white jerseys this year. This was a well disciplined bunch of lads who battled hard but fairly all year.
