Field to Fork

Mrs Bennett's P.5 class were invited to the Shambles Market in Armagh courtesy of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council. While at the market our class had the opportunity to cook with two local and well respected chefs, Sean Farnan from The Moody Boar and Mervyn Stinson from Groucho's in Richill. We made delicious pork burgers by ourselves and while the chefs cooked them we were introduced to a wormery and heard all about how important worms are to our gardens and compost heaps.

We also made our own plant pots out of newspaper, filled them with soil from fresh compost and planted carrot and tomato seeds. We will plant these in our gardens at home!
