Fancy Dress Sponsored Walk is a Smashing Success!

What a day! We certainly had someone watching out for us up above, as 8.30am-1.30pm seemed to be the only period today that it didn’t rain!

Sincere thanks and a BIG Well Done to all involved in today's Fancy Dress Sponsored Walk for our school’s Summer Fundraiser.

What a great day it proved to be.

Mr McKinley would like to thank all staff of St. Patrick’s Primary School for their efforts in both preparation and participation today. There were certainly some eye-catching outfits on show amongst the staff!

We express our gratitude to Macaris - Armagh for supplying some of their famously delicious ice-cream to our pupils and staff - a nice little surprise for all!

The event wouldn’t have been possible without our close links with Armagh Harps GFC. Access to their facilities is invaluable to our school throughout the year, and it was the perfect venue today.

We want to specifically congratulate our pupils for the effort they made in getting into the spirit and for their attitude and behaviour across the day. This reflects the excellent behaviour that was reported to Mr McKinley and Mrs O’Shea across the last number of weeks at Sports Day and Trip events. Pride in St Patrick's both in and out of school is wonderful to see. We will have some photos to share from the day when they are gathered up early next week.

Finally, we thank again all who helped bring in sponsorship, no matter how much or how little. We have been truly humbled by the generosity of our pupils, our families, our wider school community and of the many individuals and businesses who have sent in large donations to our fundraising appeal. Every penny will be reinvested into improving St. Patrick’s Primary School for those who matter most - our children.
