ECO Week In St. Patrick's
This week the pupils in St. Patrick's are taking part in lots of Eco related activities. Each year group has discussed what they will be doing to help make the children more aware of environmental issues. The following activities will be ongoing during the week: healthy eating - recycling materials - tree survey in the school grounds -weeding and planting vegetables and flowers- making bug hotels from recycled pallets -investigating the amount of sugar in drinks -making bird boxes - a visit to the Recycling depot at Station Road- creating a garbage orchestra from recycled materials.
We look forward to seeing the results of this first ever Eco week at St. Patrick's and hopefully we will be putting up lots of photographs soon of how the children got involved.
FRIDAY 29th APRIL will be GREEN DAY - the pupils will be allowed to come into school dressed in green and a small contribution towards some of our eco ventures would be gratefully accepted. If some of the children would like to make a costume out of recycled materials this would add to the day.
