Eco-Committee Plan for 2024.
17th Jan 2024
Our school’s Eco-Committee had their first meeting of 2024 this week.
The committee were joined at their meeting by our Principal Mr McKinley, where targets for the near future were agreed upon.
Some of the the things we’ll be looking at over the next few months include:
- Increasing the area covered by our “Adopt A Spot “litter pick-ups, which currently go from Abbey Park football pitch right along to Armatile.
- Surveying and creating a baseline assessment for the level of waste and recycling in our school, and how we can improve this going forward.
- Encouraging sustainable travel through our Active Travel “Walk to School Week.”
These are big responsibilities for our committee members but ones that they are looking forward to getting moving on. â™»ï¸
Keep an eye out for our Eco-Committee out on the Loughgall Road doing their bit to keep Armagh tidy. 🚮 🗑ï¸
