A massive thank you to the Armagh Harps GFC who are providing Gaelic football training to all 65 of our two Primary seven pupils. Every Monday morning Ryan Mc Keown, club coach, senior player and past pupil of St Patrick’s PS, puts the P7 boys and girls through their paces , developing skills through a range of fun games and drills. Ryan will be working with a variety of year groups in Abbey Park until Christmas both on the superb 4G pitch and in the state of the art indoor hall. Throughout the decades, the link between St Patrick’s’ and the Harps has always been strong. For years now the club has generously granted our school full use of the indoor hall, 4G pitch and main grass pitch for inter school blitzes in football, hurling and Camogie. This “free” service is a vital part of our schools after school provision of sport too between the hours of 2-4pm each week. Teamwork at every level breeds success. Our P7s look forward to Ryan’s coaching every Monday morning and just can’t wait to get up to Abbey Park.
