Armagh Author Darren Mackey Visits P3

Our Primary 3 pupils in Mrs Knipe's class had a special visitor to school this morning.

Darren Mackey, a local author who has just had his first children's book published, came into school to share some snippets from his new book, The Jolly Giraffe.

We were delighted to invite Darren into school as he sets out on his new career path. A book many years in the making, The Jolly Giraffe is a fun-filled tale about Jerry the Giraffe and his friend, Mickey the Monkey, as they set off on a road trip to the new Ravenous Rhinos restaurant. Things are never as straight-forward as they seem, and their adventure takes a tricky turn when they got lost in the dark jungle and come across Leo the Lion...

Mrs Knipe's P3 children really enjoyed Darren's visit and were hugely grateful to him for sharing Jerry's story with them.
