St. Patrick's P.S. 50th Anniversary Celebrations

4th Apr 2019

On Thursday 4th April 2019, the community of St. Patrick's Primary School came together to celebrate 50 years of education on our current site on St. Brigid's Hill, but also to remember over 100 years of education provided in St. Patrick's National School and later, St. Patrick's Infants School on Banbrook Hill.

The Mass of Thanksgiving was led by Archbishop Eamon Martin supported by Fr. Peter and Fr. Thomas.

Individual soloists and the school choir followed Mrs Bennett's guidance and the musical expertise of Mr S. Boylan.

Children from P1 to P7 shared with past pupils, current and retired staff and governors with readings, prayers and processions to help celebrate our Mass of Thanksgiving.

We thank everyone who prepared the children for the Mass and everyone who attended. For the parents who ‘bent’ with all our arrangements and the Grandparents who aided these changes to happen. For those that helped prepare the displayed work, the flowers, the symbols and gifts, the Mass and the booklet.

We are so proud of every child, past and present, who has attended St. Patrick’s Primary School and helped make it the school that it is. We wish each and every one of you, only good in your lives.
