Lots of socks campaign

22nd Mar 2019

Thursday 21st March is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD). It is a day where Down Syndrome International (DSi) encourages their friends all over the world to help raise awareness of what Down Syndrome is, what it means to have Down Syndrome, and how people with Down Syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.

Today, Mr Kelly's P6 class are participating in some WDSD-related activities to help educate our pupils about Down Syndrome, one of which is DSi's #LotsOfSocks campaign. Mrs O'Shea and Mr McKinley joined our P6 pupils this morning in wearing odds socks to help raise awareness of WDSD. If you would like to know more information about this campaign, search the hastags #LotsOfSocks #LeaveNoOneBehind #WorldDownSyndromeDay #WDSD.
