Mr Murphy, Art Coordinator in St Patrick's, received some great news this week from the organisers of the Credit Union Poster design competition. Earlier in the month classes from KS1 and KS2 had designed posters using the theme of, "Dreams are made of this..." and had patiently been waiting news of any prize winners in any of the three age categories. Eventually the news arrived and St Patrick's PS had one prize winner in each age category. James Fields in Mrs Smith's P4 class was awarded first place in the youngest under 7 category.What a fantastic win and as a result James' poster will now be forward to the next round in the all Ireland poster competition. Killian Toner in Mr O' Hare's P7 class was awarded third place in the 8-10 age category and Domantas Ziemelis also in Mr O'Hare's P7 class was awarded third place in the 11-13 age category. Well done to all the pupils who entered the art competition this year.
