Boys Win Pearse Ogs Blitz

21st Sep 2016

The annual Pearse Og Primary School Gaelic football blitz was held on Friday16th September at Pearce Og Park in Armagh.St Patrick's entered a P6 boys team, a P7 boys team and a P7 girls team on the morning in this 10 a side competition. After playing a few matches in group stages all three teams qualified for the semi finals. After three very competitive games all of the St Pat's teams qualified for the finals. The girls played the CBS in their final however they were a few points short of a win at the end.The P6 boys met St Jarlaths of Blackwatertown in their final and played fantastically winning by five points and were awarded with the Pearse Og Shield for their hard work. The P7 boys played their final against the CBS first team and after a very tough second half were unfortunately beaten by four points. All boys and girls were a credit to our school and their sporting behaviour to other teams and the referees was superb as always. Congratulations.
