Boys Win Mid-Ulster Shield

8th Jun 2017

The St Patrick's Boys' Gaelic football team had a great morning of football on Wednesday 7th June at Pearse Og Park in Armagh. On the morning all six teams in the Mid-Ulster Gaelic competition took part in a championship style event to establish who reigned supreme for 2017.  St Patrick's Armagh ,St Francis PS, Mullaghbawn PS Crossmaglen PS, Armagh CBS, Cullyhannah PS. The St Patrick's boys have reached the finals in various competitions and blitzes all year but have always seemed to fall at the final hurdle. Not so however on their last outing of the year. After playing three energy sapping matches in a row against Mullaghbawn PS, Armagh CBS and Cullyhanna PS the team reached the Mid Ulster Shield Final. In an excellent final played against Mullaghbawn ,for the second time, the St Pat's boys won in convincing style. Another piece of silverware for the school.Well done lads. Thanks also to Marc Cullen who helped Mr O Hare on the morning.
